Local public utility is seeking individual to fill a full-time General Tech position. Essential duties and responsibilities include :

• Maintenance, repair and operation of the sanitary and storm water system
• Preventive maintenance, minor and major repairs on the sanitary and storm water system
• Preventive maintenance on vehicles, heavy equipment, and light equipment
• May work with a crew of equipment operators and laborers of varying skills, assigning duties, instructing and guiding and maintain work schedules
• Application of some initiative and independent judgment to carry out assignments in accordance with established procedures and instructions
• Clean and maintain sewage treatment, sludge processing, and disposal equipment in the wastewater treatment plant
• Other duties as may be assigned

Requirements:

• High School diploma/equivalent is required.
• Must possess at least a valid CDL B Class license with tanker and air brake endorsements.
• Must possess the ability to pass the DEP Operator licensing test for a Class E Operator's License within one (1) year of employment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $21.31 per hour
